The Simplex 2975-9445 is a two-bay back box with glass door and dress panel plate for Simplex fire alarm control equipment.
First, the back box provides the mounting enclosure for fire alarm modules and panel components. Then the glass door lets staff check system status without opening the enclosure. In addition, the dress panel plate gives the finished install a clean front face.
