The Simplex 8562-876 is a repaired-assembly PC board for the 4602 Series Remote Command Unit (RCU). The “8” prefix marks it as a refurbished service part for the original 562-876 board.
First, the 4602 RCU provides 8 red LED zone status indicators on its front face. In addition, it carries local power (green) and trouble (yellow) LEDs plus a local tone-alert sounder. Furthermore, it includes operator switches for Trouble Silence, Alarm Silence, System Reset, and Manual EVAC.
Therefore, the 8562-876 board restores remote command-and-status capability on Simplex sites that use the 4602 RCU. As a result, technicians can replace a failed board without swapping the entire annunciator chassis.

The 4602 RCU family connects to the following Simplex fire alarm control panels:
- Current platforms: 4005, 4007ES, 4010ES, 4100ES, 4100U
- Legacy platforms: 4002, 4020, 4100, 4120 series

Notes Before Ordering
This is a repaired-assembly PC board, not a brand-new module. However, it carries the same form and function as the original 562-876 board. In addition, the 4602 RCU itself ships under different dash numbers (for example 4602-9101 / 4602-9102) — the 8562-876 is the internal PC board common to that family. Verify the host RCU model number before ordering.
