The mircom uima4 interface module is the programming and diagnostics interface for MGC (Mircom Group of Companies) fire panels. Specifically, it configures MR-400, MR-401, and MR-2300 Series panels along with related MGC products.
What the mircom uima4 interface module does
First, the UIMA4 lets a technician connect a laptop to a compatible fire panel for on-site programming. In addition, it supports diagnostics and firmware updates. Therefore, it is the standard service tool for MR-400 / MR-401 and MR-2300 deployments.
Connectors
The interface carries three connectors. Specifically, a 9-pin male serial connector and a USB-B female connector. Also, a 10-pin female connector handles port or debug interfaces on some products. As a result, it bridges legacy serial workflows and modern USB laptops on the same tool.
Ribbon cable and accessories
The 10-pin ribbon cable is field-replaceable. Furthermore, the replacement part number is RPL-WC-25022, which ships with three replacement cables. Also, the compact design suits on-site service calls and bench programming alike.
