The Vesda VEP-A00-P-UL is the VESDA-E VEP four-pipe aspirating smoke detector from Life Safety Consultants. It provides very early warning in mission-critical spaces. As a result, fires get caught sooner.
How the Vesda VEP-A00-P-UL detects smoke
This detector draws air through a four-pipe sampling network. First, the pipes collect air from across the protected area. Then, a sensitive laser chamber analyzes the sample. Therefore, the detector spots smoke at very low levels.
The VEP offers a sensitivity range of 0.005 to 20% obscuration per meter. In addition, it supports up to 40 sampling holes. The four-pipe network reaches a total length of 560 m (1,837 ft).
Enclosure and listing
This model uses a plastic enclosure and integrated LED indicators. Furthermore, it is listed to UL 268 7th edition. Always install it per the manufacturer’s product guide and NFPA 72.
