The Simplex 4903-9358 is a speaker/visible (S/V) notification appliance. It combines a multi-tap speaker with a 110 cd strobe in one red, wall-mount unit. As a result, it delivers both audible and visual alerts.
This appliance is non-addressable and connects to standard notification circuits. Furthermore, the strobe outputs a fixed 110 candela. Note that Simplex has discontinued this model.
Simplex 4903-9358 Speaker and Strobe
The speaker is multi-tapped for flexible audio levels. Specifically, taps provide 1/4, 1/2, 1, or 2 watts. In addition, it operates at either 25 or 70.7 Vrms.
The strobe supports free-run or synchronized operation. Therefore, it can align with other strobes on the circuit. Also, the speaker reproduces both voice messages and tones clearly.
Replacement Part
This model is discontinued. However, the Simplex 4906-9151 is the current replacement. Therefore, choose the 4906-9151 for new installations.
