The Notifier DAX-5070 is a 50-watt digital audio amplifier for the DVC voice evacuation platform. Specifically, it delivers 50 W of 70 VRMS audio on 120 VAC input. As a result, integrators use it as an economical amplifier where the broader DAA2 feature set is not required.
What the Notifier DAX-5070 outputs
The DAX-5070 supplies one Class A high-level audio output, or alternatively two Class B outputs. Furthermore, both wiring styles distribute one channel of digital audio. Therefore, integrators can match the wiring style to the building’s existing speaker layout.
How it connects
The DAX-5070 connects to the Digital Audio Loop (DAL) through two wire DAL ports. In addition, those ports can be converted to fiber. Specifically, the DS-FM, DS-SFM, or DS-RFM fiber option modules adapt the DAL connections.
Up to 32 DAL devices, including DAX amplifiers, can be connected on a single loop. Then, each DAX accesses one of up to eight audio channels on the DVC audio loop.
Backup behavior
The DAX-5070 stores backup alarm and trouble messages locally. As a result, it can play those messages if DAL communication is lost. Therefore, audio evacuation continues even during a loop fault.
