The Protectowire PM-3B is a double loop pipe mounting strap for linear heat detectors. Specifically, it secures Protectowire linear heat detection cable to pipe. Moreover, it fits pipe sizes from 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 inches. As a result, installers gain a reliable mounting point on round surfaces.
Protectowire PM-3B material and ratings
First, the strap is molded from Nylon 6/6 for durability. In addition, the material is UV stabilized for long service life. It operates from -40°F to 185°F (-40°C to 85°C). Also, the strap works with all Protectowire linear heat detectors.
Installation guidance
Wrap the primary loop around the pipe with serrations facing inward. Then route the detector through the secondary loop and holding block. Next, tighten gently by hand to secure the detector. However, do not over-tighten the strap. Finally, space straps no more than 5 feet apart.
