The Protectowire (TR-4A) eyebolt anchors messenger wire used with linear heat detectors. Specifically, it attaches one end of the messenger wire to a supporting structure. Moreover, messenger wire carries the detector where mounting surfaces are scarce. As a result, the TR-4A creates a secure anchor point overhead.
Protectowire (TR-4A) eyebolt specifications
First, the TR-4A is made of zinc-plated steel. In addition, it uses a 1/4-20 thread size. The overall length measures 4 inches, with a 3-inch shank. Also, the eye inside diameter is 9/16 inch. For stainless construction, the TR-4A-S variant uses 304 stainless steel.
Where the eyebolt fits
Use the TR-4A when installing Protectowire on messenger wire spans. Then attach a turnbuckle and messenger wire to tension the run. Therefore, the eyebolt and turnbuckle work together at opposite ends. Finally, confirm your support structure can carry the load.
