The Resideo (5816) is a two-zone wireless door and window transmitter. First, it reports whether a door or window is open or closed. Also, it belongs to the Honeywell 5800-series of 345 MHz wireless sensors.
The 5816 includes a built-in magnetic reed switch. In addition, it offers a wired closed-circuit contact loop for a second zone. Therefore, one transmitter can monitor two points.

First, the transmitter sends supervised RF signals to a compatible receiver. As a result, the panel detects tamper and low-battery conditions. Furthermore, the compact housing suits surface mounting on door and window frames.
The 5816 runs on a single CR123A 3-volt lithium battery. Therefore, expect roughly three to five years of service. Also, the battery is supervised and field-replaceable.
