The Simplex 4098-9734 is a TrueAlarm analog high-temperature heat sensor. It detects heat in environments where standard 135°F heat sensors would cause nuisance trips. As a result, it suits boiler rooms, mechanical spaces, kitchens, and similar high-ambient areas.
The 4098-9734 supports two sensing modes at once. First, rate-of-rise sensing detects rapid temperature climbs. The panel selects either 15°F/min (8.3°C/min) or 20°F/min (11.1°C/min). In addition, fixed-temperature sensing operates independently at a 190°F (88°C) set point. Therefore, the panel can act on either condition without compromising the other.
The sensor communicates over the Simplex IDNet addressable loop. It reports continuous analog temperature data to the fire alarm control panel. Catalog reference: 06501153CN.
